Members of the LCC community are invited to our next FIKA event, taking place Wednesday, October, 13, at 10:30AM. This month, we will be enjoying a short devotional using the Dala horse as a subject, provided by Kermit Wellman. We also will have some more hymn singing — to go along with our coffee and treats, of course ;-) And, a reminder that while our Fika events have a name stemming from Swedish culture — and this particular meeting involves a staple of Scandinavian heritage — it is by no means exclusive to those interested in exploring the traditions of that part of the world. The name simply embraces the mission we are trying to achieve in gathering — which is the simplicity of enjoying one another's company, while also indulging in the pleasure brought by coffee and sweets.
