  • Diaper Drive Update

Thank you to everyone who helped our diaper drive raise over 2,000 diapers with sizes represented from newborn to larger toddler sizes!

The diapers were picked up and delivered to two local crisis centers for women & babies to help them along in their journey!

  • May Manna Market

Our May Manna Market event was incredibly successful also! We managed to ervie over 140 families both in the way of providing food as well as support and prayer.

We are currently looking for volunteers to help get MM prepared on the day of the event around noon. If you are interested in helping out, contact Judy at LCCMM6565@gmail.com.

  • Feed My Starving Children - Resumes June 8th

It is exciting that we can announce that our monthly Feed My Starving Children food packs will be resuming after a short monthly hiatus due to leadership changes. Rick Gunderson will be taking the reins as we get back into the swing of things.

If you would like to participate in this monthly gathering, please contact Rick at rgundy100@hotmail.com or you can call him at 612-964-2651. The group will meet next Tuesday, June 8th at 11am, meeting first at LCC to caravan/carpool.

Karl & Sue Peterson are missionaries through the Evangelical Covenant Church who LCC has supported for several years. They are currently based in Mexico City, serving to further Christ's Kingdom through a number of outreach missions.

During COVID, their missions turned 100% digital. Sue has began presenting two different ministries - (respiros (or Catch Your Breath) retreats guiding remote attendees in reflecting on God's word, as well as weekly teaching sessions focused on a different spiritual practice, which she calls "Vitamins for the Soul".

They have been promising growth in their involvement with Mexican Covenant pastors and record-breaking attendance in the Mexican Covenant Seminary, despite having to go all online for its courses. During its second online semester it has seen 40 students are in the process of determining what to offer in the fall.

Karl and Sue have been involved n helping encourage congregational vitality through spiritual reflection. Specifically, they are working currently with a church in northern Mexico City teaching them the principle of "go slow to go far".

In your prayers, Karl and Sue ask that LCC continue to lift them up:
  • Prayers for Mexico City pastors to come forward to learn and work with the oppressed in their communities.
  • Prayers for congregations they are working with to be receptive to their vitality eachings.
  • Prayers for financial funding for both the ECC and Serve Globally as they are switching financial models requiring all funding to be provided by individuals and congregations.
  • Prayers for their family - for their sons (Zachary and Jonathan) for vocation direction and for Sue's parents in diminishing health.

While LCC supports Karl and Sue financially, if you feel called to do so individually, you can follow the link below to give.
If you wish to reach out to them via email, you can do so at karl-sue.peterson@covchurch.org
