The Missions Ministry at Linwood Covenant Church is excited to keep you up-to-date about various parts of the Missions Ministry. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to our Weekly emails.
It has been a rough start for the Amborella House, located in North Branch/Wyming, as they prepared to open August 3. This safe house provides a home for up to 5 girls/women to stay at while recovering from sex-trafficking. They also receive professional help for their recovery.
LCC has helped furnish one of the five bedrooms (similar to the picture) complete with a bed/bedding, a chair, decor/curtains, nightstand, lamp, and a closet organizer.
There are a few ways you can support the Amborella House:
- Attend the banquet fundraiser on September 22. Call 651-272-5234 for more information.
- Support them in prayer.
- Send financial support to Amborella House, PO Box 725, Wyoming, MN 55092.
They are also hiring Shift Advocates. For a full job description for more information on the Amborella House, visit: https://renewhopemn.org/
Pastor Sten Carlson of Midcurrent Church in Hudson, says "Thank you to LCC for your faithful support during these past three (3) years (of sponsorship). We wouldn't be where we are today without you and so many others who have been our partners in spreading the good news of Jesus. Please pass on my greetings and gratitude to everyone at LCC!!"
Pastor Sten also communicated that Midcurrent Church has gone online for their church services - like most - and it has been a very trying time but also very encouraging.
"My own neighbors "attended" church for the first time (during this time), and many others from our congregation share similar stories about neighbors, friends, and family," he said.
What a blessing Midcurrent Church continues to be in the Hudson community! Linwood Covenant's three-year sponsorship commitment is now complete and we're very happy to have played a part in their journey to reach others in Christ.
Amber Anderson, who is the daughter of Al and Robin Anderson, is a missionary that LCC has been sponsoring through Youth-With-A-Mission. Amber has decided to leave the missionary field at this time, but will be growing stronger in her love and knowledge of the Lord by attending Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, MA, this fall. There she will be pursuing a 3-year Master of Divinity Degree with a focus in World Missions.
She has asked if LCC would be her "sending church" which is a body of believers who has agreed to support a missionary in deliberate prayer and also in their mission to spread the Gospel. The LCC Lead Team heartily agreed to that.
LCC is happy to have received such a wonderful opportunity for LCC to continue to be part of Amber's ministry life!
Do you have a desire or calling to help? We have many opportunities available to you.
